¹⁸ The sons are gathering wood, And the fathers are causing the fire to burn, And the women are kneading dough, To make cakes to the queen of the heavens, And to pour out libations to other elohims, So as to provoke Me to anger."

¹⁶ `The word that you have spoken unto us in the name of Yahweh--we are not hearkening unto you; <sup>17</sup> for we certainly do everything that has gone out of our mouth, to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our heads, in cities of Judah, and in streets of Jerusalem, and--we are satisfied with bread, and we are well, and evil we have not seen." <sup>18</sup> `And from the time we have ceased to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, we have lacked all, and by sword and by famine we have been consumed, ¹⁹ and when we are making perfume to the queen of the heavens, and pouring out to her libations--without our husbands have we made for her cakes to idolize her, and to pour out to her libations?'" ²⁰ And Jeremiah said unto all the people, concerning the men and concerning the women, and concerning all the people who are answering him, saying:" ²¹ `The perfume that you made in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, you, and your fathers, your kings, and your heads, and the people of the land, has not Yahweh remembered it? yea, it comes up on His heart." <sup>22</sup> And Yahweh is not able any more to accept [you], because of the evil of your doings, because of the abominations that you have done, and your land is for a waste, and for an astonishment, and for a reviling, without inhabitant, as [at] this day." <sup>23</sup> `Because that you have made perfume, and because you have sinned against Yahweh, and have not hearkened to the voice of Yahweh, and in His law, and in His statutes, and in His testimonies you have not walked, therefore has this evil met you as [at] this day.'" ²⁴ And Jeremiah said unto all the people, and unto all the women, `Hear you a word of Yahweh, all Judah who [are] in the land of Egypt, <sup>25</sup> Thus spoke Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel, saying:You and your wives both speak with your mouth, and with your hands have fulfilled, saying:We certainly execute our vows that we have vowed, to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, you do certainly establish your vows, and certainly execute your vows." <sup>26</sup> `Therefore, hear you a word of Yahweh, all Judah who are dwelling in the land of Egypt:Lo, I--I have sworn by My great name, said Yahweh, My name is no more proclaimed by the mouth of any man of Judah, saying, Live does the Lord Yahweh--in all the land of Egypt." ²⁷ Lo, I am watching over them for evil, and not for good, and consumed have been all the men of Judah who [are] in the land of Egypt, by sword and by famine, till their consumption." ²⁸ `And the escaped of the sword turn back out of the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, few in number, and known have all the remnant of Judah who are coming into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, whose word is established, Mine or theirs."

¹¹ And, coming into the house, they perceived the little Boy with Mary, His mother, and, falling, they worship Him. And opening their treasures, they bring Him approach presents, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

⁴⁶ And Miriam said, "My soul is magnifying the Lord, ⁴⁷ And my spirit exults in God my Saviour, ⁴⁸ For He looks on the humiliation of His slave. For lo! from now on all generations will count me happy, ⁴⁹ For the Powerful One does great things for me, and holy is His name, ⁵⁰ And His mercy is for generations and generations To those fearing Him. ⁵¹ He does mightily with His arm, He scatters the proud in the comprehension of their hearts, ⁵² He pulls down potentates from thrones, And exalts the humble." ⁵³ The hungry He fills with good things, And the rich He sends away empty." ⁵⁴ He supported Israel, His boy, To be reminded of mercy" ⁵⁵ (According as He speaks to our fathers) To Abraham and to his seed, for the eon."

³⁸ Now Miriam said, "Lo! the slave of the Lord! May it come to be with me according to your declaration! And the messenger came away from her."

¹² And there is no salvation in any other one, for neither is there any other name, given under heaven among men, in which we must be saved."

¹⁴ These all were persevering with one accord in prayer, together with the women and Miriam, the mother of Jesus, and His brothers."

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are of God, for many false prophets have come out into the world."

⁴⁶ At His still speaking to the throngs, lo! His mother and brothers stood outside seeking to speak to Him." ⁴⁷ Now someone of His disciples said, "Lo! Thy mother and Thy brothers stand outside. They are seeking to speak to Thee." ⁴⁸ Yet He, answering, said to the one saying it to Him, "Who is My mother, and who are My brothers? ⁴⁹ And stretching out His hand over His disciples, He said, "Lo! My mother and My brothers!" ⁵⁰ For anyone whoever should be doing the will of My Father Who is in the heavens, he is My brother and sister and mother!"

¹⁰ And I fall in front of his feet to worship him. And he is saying to me, "See! No! A fellow slave of yours am I, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

⁴ You shall not make for yourself a carving nor any representation of that in the heavens above or that on the earth beneath, or that in the waters beneath the earth. ⁵ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor be made to serve them, for I, Yahweh your Elohim, am a jealous El, visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those hating Me,

¹³ May they praise the Name of Yahweh, For an Impregnable Retreat is His Name, His alone; His splendor is over the earth and heavens;"

²⁶ Now, similarly, the spirit also is aiding our infirmity, for what we should be praying for, to accord with what must be, we are not aware, but the spirit itself is pleading for us with inarticulate groanings." ²⁷ Now He Who is searching the hearts is aware what is the disposition of the spirit, for in accord with God is it pleading for the saints."

²² by so much also has Jesus become the sponsor of a better covenant. ²³ And these indeed, are more than one, having become priests because death prevents them from abiding;" ²⁴ yet that One, because of His remaining for the eon, has an inviolate priesthood." ²⁵ Whence, also, He is able to save to the uttermost those coming to God through Him, always being alive to be pleading for their sake."

⁵ For there is one God, and one Mediator of God and mankind, a Man, Christ Jesus,
